The best thing you can do if you really want to learn to think like a marine is to become one.

About the Author
Mark Hardie
This is Mark’s first book.
Military
Mark joined the Royal Marines over 20 years ago and has been involved in training recruits and soldiers to become commandos for operations in the harshest environments.
His service included roles in intelligence, operations and training, logistics and complex personnel issues. He was awarded the MBE in 2010 for his support to Royal Marine casualties before the formal recovery pathway was established and his role in the repatriation of fatalities from Afghanistan.
Current
Mark runs his own company specialising in human factors in decision making, leadership and building reliable teams.
He is a European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) certified coach at Master practitioner level with an Executive Coaching qualification from Ashridge-Hult Business School. He has also completed the UK Sport World Class Mentoring Programme.
He is the Military advisor to the National Museum of the Royal Navy for the new Royal Marines Museum, and an independent advisor to the Royal Navy Conduct and Culture Cell.
He is a Visiting Professor in Leadership, Ethics and Professional Practice.
He teaches mindfulness-based mind fitness and is an XPT certified Performance Breathing Coach.
Mark has contributed to the Modern Stoicism project through writing and speaking about his personal journey and application of Stoic Philosophy. He has recently supported the US Army National Guard Stoicism Conference and the US Military Stoicon X conference.
Personal
Mark lives in the South Downs National Park with his long suffering (her words) amazing (his words) wife, his two most excellent boys and a dog.
